The OT1-S Filter is designed to remove pathogens transmitted through water, such as Legionella spp (Gram-negative bacteria causing pneumonia), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and Coliforms (bacteria) from the tap water in hospitals. Hospital tap water has been recognized as a “source of HAI that must be monitored, significant, and controllable.” The Cobetter tap filter is a cost-effective solution to reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections, particularly for patients with compromised immune systems, such as those with cancer, organ transplants, surgery, burns, chronic lung diseases, HIV patients, as well as the elderly and infants who are more susceptible to infections through direct contact, ingestion, and inhalation of waterborne pathogens. The disposable sterile tap water filter is composed of two layers of PES 0.2µm membranes with a pre-filter layer to extend lifespan and reduce costs. The filter membrane is certified on Brevundimonas diminuta in accordance with ASTM F838 (microbiological testing) with a bacterial retention capability of > 107/cm² (sterilization level).
